- Preparation for storing water in excess water reservoirs and drainage channels (bed storage).
- Determination of asset and human resources requirements and the expected surplus maintenance tasks for the storage.
- Clarifying bed storage possibilities in excess water reservoirs and drainage channels operated by water associations.
- Retaining water by the facilities of EU funded (completed or nearly completed) water projects according to the guide for operation.
- Ad hoc water supply in case of non reversible drainage channels.
- Measurements, documentation and data processing according to the workprogram. Timing of calibrations.
- Determination of conditions and limitations of water level regulation of the oxbow lakes managed by KÖTIVIZIG (Central Tisza Water Directorate). The revision of the maximum aestival operational water level of oxbow lakes.
- Informing organizations managing oxbow lakes about the importance of water supply. Defining measures and corresponding costs for the water level regulation of oxbow lakes without gravitational supply. If requested providing advice by the directorate.
- Revision of existing structures constructed for water quality control along the Zagyva river.
- Exploring water supply option for the Zagyva river from the Millér irrigation system. Estimation of costs.
- Keeping an updated record of the status of the tasks.
- Updating of the water restriction plan of TIKEVIR (Tisza-Körös-valley cooperating water management system), informing partner directorates on the preparations.
