•تحقيق فوائد عامة من خلال التنفيذ الفعال لاتفاقية مكافحة التصحر :
       - الحفظ والاستعمال المستدام للتنوع البيولوجي والتخفيف من ضرر تغيير المناخ .
       - الزراعة وتربية الأحياء المائية في إطارإدارة النظم الإيكولوجية .
•تعبئة الموارد لدعم تنفيذ الاتفاقية من خلال بناء شراكات فعالة بين الجهات على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي :
      - الزيادة المالية وتوفير الموارد التقنية والتكنولوجية .
      - تحسين البيئة السياسية المواتية لتنفيذ اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر .
      - زيادة في مستوى وتنوع التمويل المتاح لمكافحة التصحر
•تحسين الظروف المعيشية للسكان .
- التنوع في سبل العيش والاستفاده من الدخل المتولد .
•تحسين النظم الايكولوجية المتأثرة .
