Aún cuando el efecto positivo podría ser imitado, en áreas degradadas la pérdida de biodiversidad es muy severa y la práctica permite en alguna medida restablecer condiciones del sitio.|
La principal contribución de la práctica es la emisión de núcleos de condensación para la formación de nubes que en la situación de disminución de la precipitación que ha experimentado el país en los últimos 100 años por efecto del cambio climático, esto se constituye un servicio ambiental clave para la sostenibilidad del desarrollo del país a futuro.|
En promedio se estima una captura bruta promedio total de CO2 de 389,94 ton durante el período de rotación para las plantaciones establecidas a la fecha.|
